Rock Star in the Mountains - 127 Yard Sale 2010

The past few days have been action packed as we  left for the 127 yard sale..Friend and fellow Junkee Antiquer drove until 3:00 A.M. Wednesday morning as I convinced him at 12 Midnight that if he drank a Rock Star it would keep him going for another hour or so. THREE hours later we made it to Sweet Water, Tennessee and had a short three hours of sleep before we rose and shone at 6:00 am to make our our way to the almost border of Ohio to begin the search for treasures...My first purchase for the day  were vintage jewels to use with my belt buckles and necklaces...and then a concrete pig...bottles to use for christmas decor...buttons....more jewels...shabby table...wicker table....and the list goes on and on....I had more plastic bags in the back of the expedition than I do in my pantry after a grocery shopping episode..Enjoy some of the pics that I captured along the way..

Friends Don't Let Friends Yard Sale Alone

We are packing up and getting ready to head north for the hills of GA, and Tennessee...It's Tuesday afternoon and I've made my mind up to take the plunge and hit the trail with friends to attend the Longest Yard Sale (google it)..I'll be posting as I go or maybe not but have lots of excitement built up as I woke at 3:30 A.M. and barely made it back to sleep...What kind of friend would I be if I let my friends Yard Sale alone?

Junkin' Road Trip USA 2010

A first for me as I take off tomorrow to the Longest Yard Sale..This should be a trip to remember...I'm tagging along with two of my fellow junkers as we travel the roads  up through Kentucky and Ohio to work our way down. This promises to be a non-stop adventure filled with heavy duty negotiations, hagglings and million dollar deals. Not to mention junk, antiques, jewels, vintage and everything else that makes my heart want to burst with JOY!!!I'll be posting along the week if I can get my paws on a computer otherwise I'll check with you on Friday when I return. I'm showing some new photos of the "extreme makeover" that took place last week at the The Bus Station - Gallery of Sorts http://www.thebusstationnews.blogspot.com/ . Don't forget Fall is on the way and so is a lot of surprises at our little treasure in Colquitt, GA
