Tea Time

Chinese Green Tea with a little bit of Tupelo Honey

When I was in China a couple of months ago, I went on a business appt. and for the first two hours, we drank tea! Not iced, sweet tea from the south but hot, green or some kind of tea. It was an ordeal. I captured a few pictures and today as I blog, blog, blog at The Bus Station,(Colquitt, GA) did I mention my partner a.k.a Bus Driver Sam or http://www.ilovelinenandpearls.blogspot.com/  is on vacay in Colorado, I'm sipping my Chinese hot tea with the weather temp at about 97 degrees...but I'm not talking about the hot weather today, I'm talking about the Chinese and their big deal breaker with tea time.  I finally bought me a thing to put my loose tea leaves in so I can really drink my tea  the proper way...The Chinese drink tea all during the day for meals and also very social thing to do especially when establishing business relations...It's a most cordial way to get to know one another even though I don't speak a bit of Chinese, that's where my friend Shan Wang, yes Wang as in Chinese, fits into the picture. She has been in the US since 1986..anyway back to tea time. It's quite a refreshing change from drinking dark, black coffee all day long. It's a little lighter and actually makes me feel more healthy and cleansed. So to all the tea drinkers in the south, north, east or west....Cheers!
